BWParts is now offering a remanufactured, broke-in F162 or F163 long-block engine exchange. We offer remanufactured long-block engines to original manufacturer's specifications. These are remanufactured engines NOT rebuilt engines.
A  remanufactured engine is remanufactured to the original blueprints and exact specifications.
A  rebuilt engine, the repair is done up to the level of failure. "up to the level of failure" means for which there was a need of rebuilding; but apart from that, existing components are left intact - i.e. only the defective part is replaced.

The engine block, head, crankshaft, cam, and rods are reconditioned by our machine shop. These parts are no longer manufactured new so we recondition existing parts.

There is a core deposit charge for the engine + $100 for the shipping container both refundable once your block is evaluated for remanufacturability value and if the shipping container is returned. The amount refunded for the core depends on the level of wear and the amount of effort it will take to remanufacture the core and if the timing cover is reuseable. If some or all of the core including timing cover are not able to be remanufactured for resale then there would be a smaller refund on the core.
