 It has a chopped top, a fiberglass-reinforced shell, and leather wrap in the high-wear areas to stand up to sparks, slag and heat. The shell is impact-resistant, moisture-proof and non-conductive, unlike carbon fiber, which can carry current. The flip-front lens holder lets you check your weld without taking the hood off. It comes with a fixed shade 10 lens and takes standard 2" x 4.25" filter plates, so replacement lenses are easy to find. The updated headgear stays comfortable through long shifts.
